Georgia has a wealth of vineyards and is the country where the oldest traces of wine-making in human history have been found. Georgians have been making wine for over 8,000 years. This gastronomic and oenological tour will give you more of a change of scenery than you can imagine!

You’ll discover unknown and endemic grape varieties, quevri winemaking and international vineyards. You’ll taste a wide variety of wines!
At the same time, you’ll discover this delicate, fragrant and atypical gastronomy. You’ll learn how to cook Georgian food so you can prepare the best dishes when you get home!

Day 2VISIT TBILISI & DISCOVER GEORGIAN CUISINE

Discover Tbilisi from every angle on this exciting and informative tour. Start your day with a delicious breakfast at the hotel before heading to the Narikhala fortress, a historic site created in the 4th century and enlarged by the Umayyads and King David the Builder. Although partially destroyed by the Mongols, it still offers a breathtaking panoramic view of Tbilisi and Mtkvari.

After a busy morning, head to the historic center of Tbilisi for lunch in a typical Georgian restaurant and discover the local gastronomic traditions. You can then stroll through the picturesque streets and mazes of Tbilisi’s old town, an architectural marvel with finely crafted wooden balconies and winding cobbled streets. You’ll be amazed by the harmonious fusion of European medieval architecture and Eastern influence.

Afterwards, visit the Georgian National Museum to learn more about Georgia’s fascinating history. Continue your discovery of Georgian wines with an oenology course in a wine bar and enjoy a tasting of local wines. To round off your day in style, dine in the same wine bar before returning to your hotel for a good night’s sleep.

Day 3GEORGIAN WALK AND COOKING CLASS

Start your day with breakfast at the hotel, before exploring the Dezerteer Bazaar. This lively local market will give you the chance to discover the region’s fresh produce, as well as the colorful and vibrant atmosphere of Tbilisi. Take the opportunity to buy some of the fresh produce you’ll use later in your Georgian cooking master class.

After exploring the market, you’ll have the opportunity to take part in a Georgian cooking master class, where you’ll learn how to cook the region’s traditional dishes. You can then enjoy your culinary creation at lunch.

After lunch, continue your tour of Tbilisi and discover the many hidden gems of this fascinating city. You can admire the city’s unique architecture, visit museums, art galleries and important historical monuments.

To round off a day full of discoveries, return to your hotel for a peaceful, comfortable night’s sleep.

Day 4VISIT TO MTSKHETA AND VINEYARDS (WITH TASTING)

After breakfast at the hotel, you’ll set off on an exciting day out of Tbilisi. You’ll first visit the 6th-century Georgian Orthodox monastery of Djvari, perched on a hilltop with a breathtaking view of the three arms of the rivers that meet below.

Then it’s on to Mtskheta, Georgia’s ancient capital and the country’s spiritual heart, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You’ll have the opportunity to visit the important historical and cultural sites of this picturesque town before enjoying lunch in a local restaurant.

After lunch, you’ll head off to two Georgian vineyards for an exciting tour and tasting of exquisite wines. You can discover the secrets of traditional Georgian viticulture, the different grape varieties used in wine production and taste the region’s finest vintages.

Dinner will be served in the sumptuous Château Mukhrani, where you can enjoy a unique ambience and a gourmet dinner accompanied by the finest local wines.

After this day rich in discoveries, you’ll return to Tbilisi for a restful night at the hotel.

Day 5SAGAREJO SOUPRA AND SIGHNAGHI

Hearty breakfast at the hotel before setting off for a memorable day outside Tbilisi. You’ll visit the fortified church of Ninotsminda in Sagarejo, an architectural gem dating back to the 13th century and considered one of the region’s most important monuments.

Afterwards, you’ll have the chance to enjoy a unique experience in the home of a traditional Georgian family for a “soupra”, a genuine Georgian banquet. You’ll discover traditional Georgian cuisine, immerse yourself in the local culture and share moments of emotion and sharing over delicious wines, generous dishes and Georgian songs.

After this convivial moment, you’ll visit the town of Sighnaghi, nicknamed the city of love for its romantic atmosphere and breathtaking views over the Alazani valley and the mountains of the High Caucasus. Take a stroll through the picturesque streets and admire the local architecture.

Dinner will be served in a local restaurant to introduce you to regional cuisine and offer you a unique culinary experience. You’ll spend the night in a comfortable hotel in Sighnaghi to rest and recharge before another day of adventure.

Day 6TSINANDALI - CHAVCHAVADZE MUSEUM - KHAREBA VINEYARD

After breakfast at the hotel, you’ll head to the Chavchavadze house museum for an informative tour and wine tasting. Learn all about the history of winemaking in Georgia and discover the secrets of the local culture.

After lunch, you’ll visit the Qvevri Museum, a traditional Georgian winemaking method listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You can also discover modern winemaking techniques.

You’ll then visit the Kvarveli vineyard (Khareba) and its unique tunnel for preserving wines, where you can taste several local wines and learn to appreciate them.

In the late afternoon, you’ll take part in a Georgian cooking masterclass to learn how to prepare delicious local dishes, followed by dinner to sample your creations.

Finally, you’ll be transferred to the hotel-resort for a peaceful night’s sleep in luxurious comfort.

Day 7REST IN A RESORT HOTEL IN KAKHETIA - FREE TIME IN TBILISI

After breakfast at the hotel, spend the morning relaxing and enjoying the hotel’s many facilities, including swimming pools, golf, ball trap, quad bikes, table tennis and billiards (subject to availability). Lunch on site before returning to Tbilisi.

Once back in the city of Tbilisi, you’ll have free time to shop or explore the places you’d like to see again. Your dinner will be on your own, so you can choose a restaurant according to your preferences.

The night will again be spent in a hotel in Tbilisi.
